Mid Valley Airport
The first facility of this type on the Texas/Mexico border, promoting air transportation and ease of clearing U.S. Customs from Mexico to Texas. Strategically located to allow its customers the most accessible option to business and pleasure throughout the Valley and Mexico. Direct highway access takes you to Harlingen or McAllen in 20 minutes, and to Mexico in 5 minutes.
Highways
Our highway (IH-2) runs east and west evenly through the center of Weslaco, allowing northern and southern business markets proximity to a major thoroughfare.
International Bridges
With international bridges along the Rio Grande Valley, you can choose the best route and access when distributing your products and/or shopping in the City of Weslaco.
Port of Brownsville
Located about 45 miles southeast of Weslaco, following the I-2 and US-83 route, roughly a 52-minute drive, the Port of Brownsville gives Valley businesses direct access to deep-water shipping and international cargo routes, extending Weslaco's reach well beyond the region.
Port of Harlingen
Just 20 miles east of Weslaco, following the I-2 E and US-83 S route, roughly a 25-minute drive, the Port of Harlingen adds additional shipping and freight capacity close to home, strengthening the Valley's logistics network.
SpaceX Starbase
Beyond Brownsville, about 20 miles east on State Highway 4, sits SpaceX's Starbase, one of the country's most active commercial spaceports. While it's a distance from Weslaco, its presence reflects the kind of ambitious infrastructure taking shape across the Rio Grande Valley.
