Business Marketing Grant

The Weslaco Business Marketing Grant is designed to help local businesses grow and thrive by enhancing their marketing efforts. Whether you want to expand your digital reach, invest in professional photography, or launch an advertising campaign, this grant provides the support you need to make an impact.

Who Can Apply?

This grant is open to all retail and commercial businesses within Weslaco's city limits and areas in the ETJ.

Eligible Businesses

  • For-profit businesses
  • Brick-and-mortar businesses
  • Food truck lots with three or more food trucks, provided the food trucks have a lease term of at least one year

Ineligible Businesses

Non-profit organizations, religious organizations, home-based businesses, independent school districts, attorneys, medical practices, day cares, independent insurance agents, big box/name companies, the hospitality sector, real estate brokers, franchises, and residential developers.

What the Grant Covers

Digital Marketing

Social media ads, TV, and radio promotions

Professional Photography

High-quality product or service images

Video Production

Engaging video content to showcase your brand

Advertising Campaigns

Creative branding and promotional strategies

What's Not Covered

Payroll, rent, utilities, sponsorships, or non-marketing expenses.

$1,000 Maximum award — paid directly to the marketing entity

Grant Limitations

  • Funds must be used within 90 days of approval.
  • Businesses can reapply every 5 years.

How to Apply

  1. Step 1 Contact the EDCW office to check grant availability.
  2. Step 2 Complete and submit the Weslaco Business Marketing Grant Application.
  3. Step 3 Secure a quote or proposal from a marketing agency.
  4. Step 4 Submit your application at least two weeks before the EDCW Board Meeting (held every third Wednesday of the month).
